can i replace a corrupt half-height video card in an Acer Aspire model AX3400-U2012? Or should I just buy another desktop?
When I got home from work last night, I took the back panel off of the previously mentioned computer, took some compressed air and blew a hell of a lot of dust off of the little fan on the video power port. I also blew a lot of dust off of all of the inside of the unit. Put everything back together, plugged it in and whammo! I'm able to see the monitor. Maybe there was so much of a dust build up that it either slowed the little fan down or stopped it. Anyway, it saves money and it's working again. Thanks!
