Hi,

I've been googling for hours, still havent gotten wiser, lol...

What is this cable for? I got one with my GPU, but yea... what is it used for? lol, i forgot to link.
http://www.systemagnostic.com/wp-uploads/2013/02/2x6pin...

AND when im already here, lol. U know the cables from the PSU TO the graphic card, u know the 6/8 pin. One cable output has two connectors... Why? Can I power up my GPU with just one cable output from the PSU? Jez, it sounds fked up, but its hard to explain.. :/

More about : gosh stand googling anymore cable

Basically if you have a PSU with low amperage on its 12v rails, instead of going with just the 6+2 connector you combine two 6pin connectors(without the +2) to power one 8pin connection. It's basically just for load management and enabling the use of a lesser PSU with lacking "oomph".

Which PSU do you have?

The cable can be used for power supplies that has the required Amps for the graphic card but doesn't have 6+2 PCIE cables and only 6 pin PCIE cables. So using that adapter, you can have a 8 pin PCIE cable. You would need tow 6 pin PCIE cables from the psu .
Most of the time you shouldn't need it, most modern power supplies have the 6+2 PCIE now.

Can i connect a gpu in this way, instead of having 2 pcie cables fr.o.m. The psu?

Should be fine as long as you have a good PSU

You should be ok but I can't be certain, can't find much info on the g650m, only the g550m which is ok

Your power supply is fine. It has sufficient Amps on the 12V rails for any single gpu.

But if it is this good, why does hwmonitor and thermal radar alerts me that the 12v rail, 5v, 3.3v etc sometimes drops several volts in microseconds type...?

Software monitoring isn't always accurate. unless you actually measure using a voltmeter, you can't really proof it other than referencing to a software result..

I would remain with the two connectors direct from the PSU

I'm inclined to use two seperate connectors from the PSU. For the sole reason that it spares your PSU from power spikes across one rail and splits it in two.
