I recently upgraded to windows 8 pro. i went to go to 8.1 when it said i need to update some stuff. i then went and upgraded 108 windows updates. Haha. When they finished, windows 8.1 wasnt there and it turned out it wasnt compatible. I did some searching and nothing worked. i had to do some weird ISO thing that finally got me to 8.1. I decided to go play some BF4. In which i was followed by a black screen that would keep turning my other monitor off and turn it back and then i would be back at the desktop. If i clicked on it again, it would repeat. So i played another game which then was followed by a light gray screen. Multiple games did this. I updated my graphics drivers and geforce EXP, but it only fixed BF4 and Batman Arkham origins. Its really pissing me off and i need it fixed soon. I also already tried reinstalling some games. I need a big fix and soon! thanks! and sorry for all the rushed info, part list should be in signiture!

I suggest you do a fresh install and install all DirectX drivers before you play any games and install the beta drivers for your graphics card

hmmm... well i did just to some updates and it worked with one game. but i do have another problem....some of my icons have disappeared not the the shortcut, but the picture, currently just Origin and Battlefield 4

Thats not a serious problem just point them to the game EXE in the properties of the shortcut

haha, ya i just like having them, and i guess they are starting to work, now, as new drivers comes out, and updates for games. im sure it will smooth out. but i would like to re-install DirectX but since its included with 8.1 i dont know if i can
