Hello,

I have an ASUS Z87-PRO C2 motherboard. This board integrate a Realtek ALC 1150 sound card. I just bought a 5.1 dolby surround set, and installed the R2.75 drivers.
I can't get the front pair to work as a front pair. Here is a picture from the Realtek manager:

When I click on the front pair, I hear nothing. All other speakers produce the test sound as expected.
When I choose "7.1 speaker" instead of 5.1, I get the sound in the front pair when I click on the side pair!

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong...

You are right Minstedmaz. That was very stupid of me. I just plugged the cables based on the color and relative position without reading what was written! I plugged the green cable into the grey port, because it was just next to the first two, in the same row, and actually looked green in the dim light under my desk.

Shame on me. Thanks to you!
