Fan Splitter Help

Solution
Not advisable. That is a PWM splitter. When you plug in the Molex connector for power, the fans will run full speed all the time. That splitter is designed for PWM fans and 4 pin MB header. PWM controls speed by pulsing the +12 VDC signal to the fans.

Since you need to control the speed of 5 fans... and since the MB header is only safe with a couple fans... you would be better off using a fan controller if you want the speed controllable. Or a multi fan slitter to Molex if not: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA49E1NG7217&cm_re=3_pin_fan_splitters-_-9SIA49E1NG7217-_-Product
