I have a Viewsonic VX2739wm Monitor and it is a 1080p monitor. When i try to set my resolution to 1920x1080p resolution is doesn't fit my screen it cuts off at the left and bottom left of the screen. I am already using an HDMI cable, All drivers are up to date. I have gone and tried right clicking my desktop and going to changing my screen resolution there and it even says that the 1920x1080p is the recommended resolution. That still didn't work. So then i tried right click > Nvidia control panel and tried changing the resolution from there as well. same problem 1920x1080 doesn't fit but it also said there that 1920x1080 is the "native" resolution.the only resolution that seems to fit my computer is 1600x1200 ?

I am running Windows 8, i have a Gtx 660 GPU and a AMD FX 8320 OC to 4.2Mhz (Dunno if you guys need to know any of this or not.)

Go into the menu on your monitor using the buttons on the monitor, see if you can change any options on there (Picture size/position, maybe shrink it down a little and move it up/right to fit it correctly). Some monitors have an auto adjust button, so see if you have that first.

I have fixed it! I had to go into my monitor settings, turns out it was on HDMI AV not HDMI PC, as soon as i changed it to HDMI PC it fits the screen perfectly!
