Hi everyone,
I just switched my pc case from my old one and reinstalled all hardware components. After reinstalling them, I noticed that my backup HDD (seagate 1tb) is no longer showing up.
I've tried different SATA ports/port slots and power cords. The HDD does not show up in the BIOS as well as in windows 7 Computer and Disk Management console. The drive was working just fine before. I carefully removed and installed all hardware and made sure nothing touched it that could damage the drive. I'm at a loss. Any help is appreciated.

1. Make sure your cords all the cords on the hard drive are carefully connected.
2. try to see if the hard drive makes heat or vibrates to tell if its working

Try switching the SATA cables themselves. More specifically, see if the sata cable on your seagate works with your main drive.

Its connected properly. I can't tell if its heating up due to my cooling and as far as I can tell, my HDD that does work and my HDD that isn't showing up don't feel to be vibrating at all.

I tried a different SATA cable and different SATA slot. The SATA cable and power cord thats connected to my problem HDD works fine with my working HDD.
