My graphics card says it has 1Gb of memory when it should have 4, what gives?

So, I recently built myself a gaming computer. It performs wonderfully, but I've noticed a few things. At first, the RAM was underclocked, but I remedied that through the handy UEFI BIOS. However, several programs (CPU-Z, Intel XTU) report my graphics card as only having one gigabyte of graphics memory, when it should have four.

Is this a setting I missed, am I doing something wrong, is it faulty, incompatible, etc?

My specs, for reference:
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750W
CPU: Intel i7 4790K
GPU: EVGA GTX 770 SC ACX 4GB
-------EVGA GT 740 SC (for PhysX)
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 7
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB 2133MH

Does the 740 only have 1GB of memory? They may be getting tripped up and showing the numbers for the 740 instead of the 770. As long as things are performing well i wouldn't worry about it

In that program, it tells me it has the full 4096MB

I just realized, in CPU-Z, it tells me that the 740 has 4Gb (it has one), and the 770 has only one GB. Could it be getting them confused somehow?

I just did, and it seems some programs just get them confused. Like hunter315 said, it's performing well, so I'll just leave it be for now. Thanks for the fast help!

That is because, what it was reporting was 1gb of system memory was being reserved for the I7 and its incorporated Gpu.
That reserves system memory for texture storage ect.

If you go into the bios and have an option to set the primary graphics device as Pci-e
And if you have an option to turn off the I7 gpu.

It should just read the memory size of the 770 card.
Its likely you are running them in tandem.
