Hi I just built my first pc and I am jusg wondering what cord do I use to hook my graphics card up to my monitor I got a blue head cord and a white head and my graphics card came with a DVI to VGA adapter. Any help is good help
It dosent matter much.
Blue is VGA, which is the oldest connector GPUs use
White is DVI, which is the mid ground
HDMI is typically the newest with display port.
I would use DVI simply because its newer and gives marginally better performance.
what cord is off the monitor ?? like this crt has a vga so I use the dvi adapter to hook it to the card my hdtv has hdmi and vga on it but I use a dvi[card] to hdmi [hdtv] cord for it
HI........... Listen, that DVI port is always white in color while VGA port is always blue. If u have a vga port then put the monitor's vga wire in that. If u have a dvi cable then put it in dvi port. U have to buy dvi port. it doesn't comes with the monitor. No big difference bw vga and dvi but now-a-days DVI is better. Some graphic cards have converter (i.e. from dvi to vga). if have not dvi cable then use this converter.
