I recently bought this laptop, and it has a AMD A8. i heard good things about these processors. but after having the laptop, when simply playing Minecraft, the processor goes way up from 50 C to 104 C. to me that seems outrageous. the fan is on Full blast (Which is REALLY loud). do you guys think the processor is overheating? i am worried that the laptop might overheat itself and burn out. thanks in advance. P.S. I am free to give more info if needed.

104 C isn't overheating. It's MELTING. So yes your laptop have heat issue. See if you can return it.

I cant return it. Its a refurbished model, and i take good care of my pcs so i skipped out of buying the extra 100$ PC protection warranty.

Well, now you know why they refurbished them. If you can, you can try disassembling your laptop and change thermal paste to see if it help. Also, you could prevent your APU to go in Turbo mode.

To disable Turbo mode, go into power plan, change plan go in advanced and set CPU to 99%

On the disassembling note, I would have no idea on how to take it apart. not too skilled on laptop hardware. i did prevent it, (although 1.9 GHz is terribly slow for things i do) but just a thought, do you think maybe Hardware Monitor is giving me bad readings? Because AMD Overdrive is giving me different readings...

AMD Overdrive says 20 Degress Celsius, speedfan says 45 Celsius, HW Monitor says 98 Celsius on Idle. the laptop isnt even hot.

my personal favorite is coretemp: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

But if you fan is running and heat sink is hot when touched, it is definitely not 20 C

Ummmmmm I don't even understand how it survived at 104C without an auto shutdown.... Get yourself a cooling pad underneath the PC and make sure dust is out, as it is especially annoying and hard on laptop hardware due to the slim design.

No problem! Laptops are prone to alot of dust since they suck it up and blow out out onto the surface you place it on, which is usually dusty. lol :-P If you want to further improve cooling, grab a cheap $10 usb fan to elevate and cool the laptop even further! They are on Amazon the cheapest!
