hi all! ok. i have a budget of strictly under $150. i need a new monitor for my new gaming computer. my gpu is a gtx 760. I want monitor that can fully utilize the graphics my gpu can put out there.

now this is where it gets interesting. I have read a LOT into isp vs tn monitors. i understand that isp get better viewing angles and getter image quality. tn however have faster response times.

In this age of monitors, they are all so cheap compared to 2009. isp are exactly the same price as tn with the equivalent response times.

therefore what is better for me? using an isp or tn? please provide the best monitor you recommend on the market under $150.

MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!!! isp viewing angles are irrelevant to me. its just me using it. response times in all monitors seem to be extremely unrepresentative of their true response time, therefore 1ms compared to 5ms doesnt seem to justify any big increase in price.

If you can pay 35$ more, you can get a very good bang-for-buck monitor --> http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-vx238h
If you have to have a monitor under 150$ and are very strict on budget, i suggest --> http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/benq-monitor-gw2255
For exact of budget 150$ --->

It's IPS not ISP.

In-Plane Switching.

For me I prefer IPS monitors plain and simple. The response times are fast enough especially as you said, the manufacturer stated response times do not reflect the actual response time of the LCD monitor. That number represents the best possible time under ideal testing scenarios. Actual response time of TN panel monitors can be a high as 300ms. Unfortunately, nearly all websites do not test for actual response times because those tests requires a lot of time and also expensive high speed cameras.
