New PC, already overheating

I literally just got a PC in the mail yesterday (yes I know you're all against pre-built PCs, I already have this PC and I'm happy with everything in it except this) and it seems that when I play high-quality games (ARMA 2/3, Far Cry 3) the processor, an AMD FX 8320, goes to about 80° Celsius. This is VERY hot and way over the limit for the processor. I am using the stock fan, with the 2 case fans. Here is the PC I bought (DONT TELL ME TO RETURN IT)

I would like to think that a NEW, GAMING COMPUTER, would not need an aftermarket cooler as soon as it is received. I was only playing for about 3 hours, and the computer froze and rebooted because of the temperature. I have the fans running on high and the CPU is not over-clocked. If there is anything I can do to avoid spending money please tell me, but, if not, I will gladly invest in a good cooler ($60-$100) if that will leave me in peace. If that is the only option, please link a good cooler in that price range that is compatible with the build specified.

I had the exact same problems with temps. I thought mine wasn't overclocked too, and I have the same 8320 cpu, but after taking off my 212 EVO cooler I had installed and putting the stock cooler on, and going into the BIOS and disabling the "turbo core" option (There was no manual overclock done) the temps immediately dropped down to where they should be. I don't know if your board has the turbo core option or something similar but it might be worth a shot.

Would you recommend the 212 EVO for a cooler? I like how it's pretty damn cheap, but can it lower the temp from 70-80 to a good 50-60?

I guess it depends on your setup. It's much bigger than I thought it was, even from pictures of it. And, until I'm able to put it back on and see what my temps do and if the Turbo core option was my problem, I'd say no. I'll probably do that this evening though and let you know as soon as I know something. I'd start with turning off the turbo core or any overclocked settings in BIOS though.

Did turning off the turbo core solve your problem? Did you decide to go with a different cooler. The 212 never did get my temps down while turbo was enabled but it was ok with it off. I've gone to a different board and cooler now and expect a completely different outcome with the Noctua NH-U14S.

I turned off turbo core which lowered the temp by about 5 C, and then I bought a Corsair H75 and now my temperatures max at about 50 C.

I don't know what that box has for case fans in it but you want as many fans as there are mountings holes. You have to bring cool air air into the case and expel the hot air. Example, I have four 140mm intakes and two 140mm exhausts. Carry on soldier. Oorah.
