Hello all, I'm finalising the details of my new budget gaming rig. I have a (at the time, way overpriced) 2 year old power supply : Cooler Master GX 550W 80+ Bronze.

I've heard it's not great but, to be honest, I haven't had any problems with it. I was just wondering whether it would be able to handle the new build or whether I really need a new PSU? The new specs are below.

Mobo currently undecided
HIS R9 270 iPower IceQ X2
Intel Core-i5-4570S
Kingston HyperX 1600 CL9
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
1TB HDD

Thanks in advance. P.S. If anyone has any suggestions for a <$70 motherboard that would be great too! ;)

so your going for two r9 270's id suggest at least a 650watt psu, id prob even say higher if you can afford it. the minimum requirements amd give one card is a 500watt psu.

The HIS R9 270 iPower IceQ X² is a single graphics card.

oh in that case a good 500watt psu would be fine then, so the 550watt one he has will be ok.
