I've designed this build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TLk6pg I would mainly run games like minecract / bukkit gta sa-mp and gta iv if possible. I'm wondering what can you improve in my build I don't mind if it goes around £10 over budget aslong as it's worth it! The CPU I've got in the build ^ can be over clocked to 4.8ghz Max, and my cooler won't handle that I don't think but I would also be happy to overclock my gpu or any other parts if necessary to get the maxamum performance I can for the money. I don't need a keyboard, moniter, mouse or OS.

Thanks.

Yes but you would need to update the BIOS first, and to do that you need a haswell CPU (not haswell refresh like the new G3258).

Thanks but would this run minecract samp and gta iv and at what settings? Also the and fx-6300 has a higher standard clock but I can oc the pentium to 4.8ghz even tho it has 2 cores wouldn't that be a better choice.

Yeah it would run everything you mentioned, it's the graphics card that's holding you back not the processor. Based on that graphics card you're looking at 1080p / medium or 720p / high on most big budget games

Will you be upgrading this rig at all? Because if you're planning to save up and improve things as you go then the G3258 is the better option (because you could drop an i5 in there at some point) but if not, get the FX-6300 as it gives better performance right now. Both the FX and the G3258 are overclockable but I doubt even an overclocked G3258 would catch an FX-6300 at stock speed in any game that uses 4+ cores (the 6300 has 6 cores).

Thanks for the detailed reply but yes I would be upgrading this rig in the future so what's the final build you would recommend I mean 320£ ( pounds ) is really the max I can go

£320? Well I do love a challenge...

I took out the cooler. You can still OC the pentium a fair bit even on the stock cooler (prolly 4ghz or so), I don't know if the lower end Z97 boards will take 4.8ghz though. Expect 4.5ghz as a realistic max even with a good cooler (the 212 evo you picked would be perfect for it).

Just before I choose a solution and buy this rig, your sure this would run minecract and samp mainly and possibly gta iv ( running gta iv isn't a must it's a so called bonus. ) but samp and minecract are musts I don't want them to be maxed out but Mabie medium on mc - high would be great although as samp is so old I could Allmost max it out on my old laptop so I would aim for max on that. Thanks.

You will need to OC step by step (particularly the voltages) and watch the temps as you go, this chip has a supposed thermal limit of 72 degrees but overclockers have reported that it's actually around 100 degrees...

You will get something of an OC on stock cooling, but I don't know how far and how much different it would be to an aftermarket cooling solution.

And yes, this rig will run all the games you mentioned and run them well on medium settings or better. It's certainly a builder rig (it's fun to tinker lol), and your first upgrade is obviously going to be the cooler.
