You could drop the cpu cooler, use stock or get a cheaper one and use the money for a 780 ti?

I am going to be overclocking and some reliable sites say that the 780ti isn't as good $/performance as the 780.
Also I want a the cheapest GPU that can run all games at 1080p 60+ FPS constantly.

What resolution will you be playing at? It's true that the 780 can play most games at ultra on 60+ fps but the 780 ti would be a better choice as it's more powerful, by 20-30 percent ish, but why not go for a r2 290x? It's roughly teh same price and nearly as powerful as the 780 ti and comes with more vram

A 780 will be fine, but how many monitors? Just one? For the same price as a 780, why not get a r2 290x? It's more 4k ready

I forgot to mention I want to record footage so should I get the Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 for Shadowplay or AMD R9 290X and buy Fraps.

AMD has recording software also, forgot what it's called but they do have it, you should go for the r2 290x, it's more budget friendly and offers the same performance on a 1080p monitor as a 780 ti
