I know there are many threads on this and I have read many (but probably not all!) I can't seem to get AHCI working on my OCZ Vertex 2 SSD. My motherboard is ASUS M4a79XTD EVO and am running windows7. The Bios shows in the storage configuration that ports 1-4 are AHCI and Ports 5-6 are AHCI. When I run AS SSD it shows it shows PCIIDE-Bad. When I checked the boot setup configuration in the BIOS it shows "IDE-OCZ VERTEX2" which I assume means that it is running in IDE. Short of backing up, wiping drive and reinstalling, any other suggestions? Hope I am not missing something stupid!
