I have a desktop that doesn't give power anymore, so I replaced the PSU with a 550W (the old one was 300W).
After this, the pc doesn't post anymore.
Here are some details (all with the new PSU, the old one is 100% dead):
- Case-fan, GPU-fan and CPU-fan all start spinning when I power on the PC
- No lights on the mouse/keyboard
- Black screen (so no picture is coming through)
- No beeps

Things I have done and tested:
- Disconnected all devices (HDD, DVD,...)
- Tried another GPU
- Tried another PSU (just to be sure)
- Replaced the motherboard battery
- Disconnected all RAM modules (the mobo recognizes that no RAM is installed, long beeps)

What could be the problem?

Thanks in advance
Maarten

The other GPU and PSU that you have tried, do you know for sure that these items worked before?
Are you plugging the monitor in the right port?
Try using a keyboard connected to the PS2 port of the motherboard.

After disassembling the entire pc and putting it back together,
it seems that the new PSU I installed was faulty, and with magic powers the test PSU starting working.
So this is solved, although I do not know the reason.
