So for about two months now I have been having problems with programs freezing up. It usually happens whilst i'm playing games, but it can happen at any time, and usually more than twice every 10 minutes. Whatever window I am using just freezes and if I click on anything else that freezes too usually. If I try to open task manager to end the task then that also goes unresponsive too.
Sometimes I have to restart because EVERYTHING I had open has frozen.
First I thought it was due to my hard drive almost being full, so I deleted almost 100 GB of stuff and it did nothing. I've ran virus scans and defragged and ran cleaners and almost everything I could think of and none of it worked.
I have zonealarm for my antivirus and I recently updated it so it would work properly. It started popping up with a message saying a certain program is trying to gain access to google chrome, and as long as I denied it my PC was fine. No freezes or crashes or anything. However yesterday I accidentally clicked allow and it has started again. Plus I dont remember the name of the program either.
