hello experts i want to build a gaming desktop with my old pentium(R) dual core cpu E-5200 2.50ghz and gigabyte g41M combo motherboard...give me suggestion for the rest of parts..i want max upgrade with this cpu....
the cpu is on the low end so i wouldnt spend alot o a high end gpu because it will be bottle necked. the only things you can really upgrade for gaming is RAM (you want 8gb) gpu, the 750 ti like geofelt said is good, and probably a 400w PSU.
Things you could do is not exactly build a new pc but upgrade your mobo and proccesor. take parts off your old computer like cd, hard drive (which is almost like building a new computer)
For gaming, it is the graphics card that is most important.
Buy the strongest graphics card that your budget and psu will allow.
That said, at some point, the cpu will become a limiting factor.
If your pc is now running, I would look at a GTX750ti that does not need a 6 pin aux power connector. It should be ok wit a 300w psu or better.

there should be a balance between the processor and the gpu the cpu will bottleneck the strong cards mainly majority of modern cards so i will suggest u to buy a hd 6670
thnx to all,,,by d way if i buy a 650 watt good psu ..then would my dual core cpu compatible with a high range graphics ccard like r9 280x or gtx-760??
even if u buy a 1000watt psu it will not matter your cpu should be a well balanced with your gpu unless u will not get ood fps in games and vice verse what you need is to upgrade your motherboard and processor before upgrading your GPU.....
