Hey everyone, I'm first time building a rig of my own. It'll be used for gaming, general use, and likely some moderate video editing in the future. Some of these components will definitely be overkill by some standards, but I feel it may help the system's longevity. Tell me what you think, give me advice on the components and if they should be replaced with something else, and tell me if I should wait for any new technologies coming out.

Thanks so much!

Woah. This is great. Super high end, it will definitely be able to run everything you throw at it on ultra/high. Good choice with SSD. Maybe get a little cheaper CPU Cooler, but if you have the money: go for it. Those case fans are super high end. Also the 290x is an amazing choice, but maybe think about go Nvidia?

I don't think your ram needs to be clocked so high and so expensive as DDR4 is coming out soon so I'd get cheaper ram and upgrade to ddr4 later. You might also wanna get a 780 TI 'cause at that 290X's price you could get one and thier more powerful. Other than that your pretty much set. Nice choice on the noctua's BTW ;)
