I've got a relatively old computer now, which I've added more storage to over the last couple of years. It's a 450W PSU and I have 2 DVD drives, a standard hard drive and 2 SSDs. I want to add another standard internal hard drive to use for back up purposes.

Is the PSU likely to be able to cope and if so, is it OK to split the SATA power leads several times, as I've run out of cabling?

Thanks

Solution
yes the psu can handle that easily.....and yes you can branch the sata power cables ....and here is link which will let u see how much power your system needs....
