Hello, I have scene a lot of GTX 780's recommended on this forum, but i've never scene the Galaxy 780 HOF edition recommended why is that? It has one of the fastest clock speeds, and according to reviews is very well built and over clocks well, how come I never see it mentioned?

1. Not available for sale
2. Even if it was it would be $700+
3. Has problems of catching fire

Limited availability, as well as mixed branding (they are sold under the KFA2 banner in Europe) probably doesn't help clarity.

The main reason they aren't usually good value, despite their good clock rates. When you can get them, they are usually priced around 20% higher than say a Gigabyte Windforce, MSI Twin Frozer, Asus DirectCU II or EVGA ACX.

I imagine the main reason people buy them is for the white PCB which is relatively unique if you are doing a particularly fancy white build.

A few questions, they're available for sale here in Canada but their around 800$, and they catch fire? Are you joking about this?

Ignoring any fire issues (newegg has quite a lot of mentions to these types of issues but it's pretty hard to say how prevalent they are given the sample size) $800 is an awful lot to spend when you can get a similar performing card for under $600.
In fact for $800 you can get a GTX780Ti or R9 290X instead.

Yes, I know i'm not looking to buy one I'm happy with my 780 Lightning, which I got for 500$ just wondering why I never see any builds with it or being recommended (the 780 HOF that is)

Yes. Why spend $800 when you can get a much better card?
