Should my core temperatures be this different?

Solution

If you are using water cooling, i suspect you should be getting way lower temps than that. I have no experience with water cooling however.

The temps i posted is using a Zalman cooler (air cool) now these are different CPU's and the temps should not match however i would think that water cooling should give you better results than a fan.

They certainly can be quite different if one is in use and one isn't. That depends a lot on which processor line it is and how much the difference is. Your pic didn't make it, but if you can go over the details, that would be helpful.

Just so you know there is nothing extreme there about the difference in temps in the cores so you are ok there.

But if you ask me those temps are a bit high for that CPU. Are you sure the fan is seated properly and you didnt over do it with the thermal grease?

I could be wrong on this. And dont stress, very unlikely you will ever run all 4 cores at 100% at the same time without the use of programs such as prime 95

Honestly i would bump that down to 4.4

85C is the absolute maximum you should let temperatures go while stress testing.(IMO)

I think you are ok, just make sure the fan is seated properly and thermal grease is within acceptable amounts.

but i always side with caution, and that extra .1 100mhz is not going to do much really in the grand scheme of things.

What are your temps at idle? I find checking temps at idle can be a big give away of if the fan is on correctly.

Keep this in mind, your temps will only be as cold (or hot) as the ambient temp. So what temps do you keep in your house?

However that being said I highly doubt you keep your house at 95F but 35 seems ok to me. if anyone else wants to chime in.

Also what kind of cooler are you using?

I feel like at that OC under load you should be running closer to 70c+. And honestly you are probably fine, But like i said before i always lean more to the cautious side.

Always aim to keep it under 80c, But in the end i think you are fine.
