770 gtx and 550 gtx as a dedicated physx card on 650 watt psu

hi
I am about to upgrade from 550 gtx to 770 gtx so I was thinking about using 550 gtx as a dedicated PhysX card , so can I run both cards on 650 watt psu , 550 will be idle most of the time since I wont be playing PhysX games all the time and when I am going to then both cards are going to be on full load
psu- corsair 650tx
cpu-4670k no oc
ram 8 gb
case - corsair 500r
motherboard has 2 16x lanes both for 2.0 and 3.0
and I will game on 1080p monitor 60 hz

  1. no point in using the 550 for physx. No benefit at all. 770 can handle box physx and gaming load. Leaving in the 550 will just clog up ur case, draw power from PSU.

no it won't work with your current PSU.

770 pulls 383 on high load

    cpu - 96 watts

    gtx 550 ti - 248 watt

add that to fans, ram, hd, etc.. its just requires more power than the psU can handle. In addition, PSU isn't 100% efficient
