I tried to play several games but I receive a stutter or skip every few seconds. Probably about 20-30 second intervals. Other than that, everything is fine. I will list the games I am talking about and my specs. Also, changing the video settings does not do anything in terms of the skipping. FPS seems to be smooth and no change but the skipping or stuttering still happens constantly.
Games I experience this in - Everything new really but here are a few.
- Battlefield 4 (Tried any setting from low - ultra, even auto sets settings to high but there is still stuttering)
- Watch Dogs (No difference in video settings, stuttering occurs more often than other games.)
- APB Reloaded (Stuttering occurs less often but is more severe when it does occur, FPS drops to about 5-10 FPS)
Games that do not stutter that I play
- League of Legends (not very intensive I believe)
- NBA 2K14 (Again, doesn't require much RAM.)
My specs (Yes outdated but should be able to push to high or ultra on some games.)
AMD Phenon II X4 955 B.E OC 3.6 GHz
Nvidia GTX 570 Stock
2X2GB DDR2 RAM (Culprit here?)
Asrock N68C-GS FX
Also, temperatures are 80°C for the GTX 570 and the CPU is about 55°.

Hey, i'm having the same problem as you, heavy games like BF3 and BF4 stuttering, but games like Team Fortress 2 doesn't. I also have only 4GB RAM, but is DDR3, and i got windows 8.1 64 bit. In what graphical qualities do you play (specially BF4)? I think we're victim of memory issues, since 4GB is not enough to the rest of the rig. I've ordered a new memory stick last week, and it will be arriving till wednesday. If it solves my problem, may help you too : ).

Yeah, we might have been experiencing the same issue, my resolution is a little bit higher but is also 16:10. Well, as i was saying, in 2 days I'll have 8GB ram, so I can give a definitive answer for the "memory problem". I don't know if it will work for you, but only in BF3 i was able to play without stutter, but in 1200x800 at low graphics, it's awful, but wasn't lagging at all.

Except for Intel CPU Boost and GPU Boost 2.0, nope, everything stock.

Hmm I OC'd my CPU and after putting it back to stock, lag on BF4 stopped but I'm not sure about other games
