Thermal grease cleaner

I'm changing my cpu cooler from the stock to the Coolmaster blizzard t2. I have the Cooler master E2 IC essential thermal compound kit that comes with a grease cleanser. So could I use that to remove the old thermal compound rather than buying rubbing alcohol and coffee filter paper.

Basic rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip works just fine. I mean i have used this plenty of times takes it right off no problems. I am sure the kit that came with works just as well.
