Hey guys, I'm currently doing my first PC build and am ready to secure my motherboard to the case. Unfortunately I have encountered a problem I do not know how to solve. The case, a corsair 230T graphite series, appears to have more motherboard standoffs than I need to mount my Gigabyte Z87-D3HP motherboard. To my knowledge a motherboard standoff poking into the motherboard at any place other than the mounting holes can short the motherboard and cause serious damage.

From my reading of the forum, I have reached the obvious first solution: removing the standoffs. However, It appears that the standoffs are permanently installed. I am not quite sure what tools, or how I am to remove the unnecessary standoffs, any tips would be appreciated :)
