Hello internet :)

1st question, I plan on running Prime95 to test my new cooler tonight I was wondering on how long I should run it for.

2nd question My cpu cooler (http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-ACX-Active-CPU-Cooler/dp/B00FOAEJJE/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406318664&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=evega+cpu+cooler) has a weird dark purple mark on it, which is really annoying me it dosnt afferct performance but I cant take it off with a little pressure so I was wondering what I could do to remove it/cover it up. Paint maby, or possible rubbing alcohol?

Thanks in advance

Solution
Prime95 burn in tests usually should be run for 24 hours. But keep a close eye on your temps for the first 30-60minutes to make sure you're not going to fry anything.

In all likelihood, you could probably run P95 for a couple hours and it'd be a decent enough test of your cooler. P95 will stress your CPU more than ANY game could ever dream, so if you can survive a couple hours of that you'll be golden.

Okay, I wont paint it. This may sound stupid but if its already been painted why would a bit more hurt? Also the mark is on the top were the 'EVGA' logo is so would that affect it if I were to paint it?

It's not regular paint that it's painted with from the factory. It's special thermally conductive paint. Adding your own paint would be like adding a layer of insulation--not something you want to do.

No, it's not. I've been running prime95 for 8 hours straight but sometimes got bsod's even after just 30 min.
