They will Both perform great. Right now i am leaning twoards Intel because they seem to benchmark higher and the new round of "broadwell" chips are coming out soon which the new boards are set for as well. Just my 2 cents.
But if you wanted to save money you could go with the Core i5 overclocked with the Z97 chipset and get the same if not better performance than the i7 most games today dont take advantage of the threading in the i7's and you can always upgrade that later. Saves you abit of cash and you wont lose any performance.
Definitely go with the Intel build. The FX 9590's are risky business. They get very hot and still have a hard time keeping up with the 4770K. Plus the 4770K will overclock and smoke the 9590.
The i7 is easily the winner here, the FX-9590 is a thermal nightmare.
Corsair Hydro Series H110 280mm can handle the heat but the question is about FPS in games...Same GPU but different CPU i7-4770K / AMD FX-9590 ............any difference in game FPS ?
