I have a D drive(FAT) and C drive (NTFS) on the same hard disk of my XP PC. Can I convert the D drive(FAT) to NTFS format? Is there any risk of loosing/damaging files or causing any type of failure? If not, how can perform o the conversion? Thanks.

Back up the drive, reformat NTFS, restore the backup.
