Here is my current PC: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mgtLP6

My price range is $130-$160 the lower the better. I'm guessing I need a new OS now too.

I built it about 9 months ago for gaming and it hadn't given me any real trouble until to day when it kinda sorta caught on fire. I was in the middle of a game when it just turned off by itself. I spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn't turn on. So I took of the side of the case to see what the problem was and when I pressed the start button again a flame shot out about an inch away from the processor.

Getting a new MB is second priority to figuring out why that happened and how to make sure it doesn't happen again so if any has any idea how it happened please tell me.

My first guess would be your PSU - it falls into the Tier 5 "Replace immediately!" category. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...

If your PSU survived the fire, I would replace it with a Tier 3 or higher based on the list linked above.

Is there any specific PSU you would recommend?

EDIT: So the motherboard isn't at fault and would it be okay to get the same one again?

I would stay in the 500W or better range for that GPU and Tier 3 or better if you can afford it- if you tell me what case you're using and your budget, I can make a recommendation that's compatible.

That mobo is about as good as any in that price range. If it made you happy, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't get another. If you're looking to upgrade, there are several decent options. Here are two:

Is that $160 for mobo and PSU?

Shouldn't need to shell out for the OS. What OS are you running? If it's Windows, just try to activate it on the new board. If it kicks it back, do the over-the-phone reactivation. Shouldn't be an issue with a fried board.
