Mod EVGA GTX 780ti SC ACX to have green GEFORCE logo?

Hi,

So I am days away now from ordering all my parts for my new pc build, however a notion is still niggling at me as it has been for several months. Apparently the acx cooler from EVGA is better than the sttock cooler, and it allows to reach better performance, however i seriously like the green led logo on the reference cards. I understand that the logo has a white led behind a green paint on the logo, to give the green effect. In order to achieve both performance and looks, do you think it would be worth attempting to mod the ACX cooler to have the green logo on it, and if so where would i be able to get the logo. Or would the performance not take much of a dip from taking the sc edition without the acx cooler? In the future i *may* want to overclock the gpu.

Thanks,
Harry

Solution
I'd recommend getting a reference cooler over an ACX cooler. The reference cooler that I have now cools just as well as the ACX I had on the 780 Ti I had. Plus the reference cooler dumps it heat out the back of the case, where the ACX dumps it into your case. I had terrible problems with the ACX cooler, I had to RMA 5 cards due to the ACX on each card being faulty.

I know this doesn't quite answer your question but thought it might be worth you considering.

Solution
Well there are a few answers to this.
The ACX cooler is far worth the extra performance. The reference blower coolers are only valuable in small form factor SLI rigs.
The logo could in theory be modded into the ACX shroud, however leaning over and looking into my case, there is barely a mm or 2 clearance between the plastic and the heatsink. So you wouldnt really be able to fit anything.

I have seen someone else asking about this previously, and I dont think there was a solution that allowed for both.

I don't know if this will work, but I'm just about to replace my 780 reference coolers with water blocks. If you think you could/would do the mod yourself, I don't think I'll need them anymore. Also these are for reference GTX 780s, but not ti. I never looked into how different they are or you modding skill level. But, if you're interested PM me.
Good Luck!
