ASUS Laptop Not Charing

I have a ASUS N53S. I smell something burning. My laptop isn't charging. The charger has the green light on until it touches the laptop plug in. Then it shuts off. I tried it without the battery, same thing. I got a new charger and it does the same thing where the green light is on and when I plug it in, it turns off.

I've been reading threads and can I just replace the DC port and would it work?

Hi, surely you have a problem with your DC jack or something on the motherboard. The DC jack is the easiest part to replace. But you need some skills in soldering to replace the DC jack.

Yes, it's the easiest part to change, I don't know if the DC jack is solder on the motherboard or you have a connector with a wire.

its not soldered. i already took the dc jack power board. and wasn't sure just by replacing that it would fix the problem. http://www.amazon.com/Power-Board-N53JF-N53JQ-N53SV/dp/B008IUYEK6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406334490&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+n53s+dc would this work. it just only have to connect it.

Ok, if you connect the adapter with just the power board without the board connected to the motherboard, do you have the same problem, the green power light on the adapter will go off.
