Seagate Expansion Drive - Used Wrong AC Adapter

So I accidentally used my netbook's AC adapter on my Seagate Expansion external hard drive. It was only in for maybe twenty seconds until I realized that I had the wrong adapter in. Long story short, the proper adapter did not power up the hard drive after that.

I am certain that the external enclosure is still functional, as I am currently using a WD Green drive in it at this very moment. As for the Seagate Barracuda hard drive that was in that enclosure, I have tried it in two other working external enclosures and the drive will not spin up at all.

I have taken a picture of the board that I unscrewed from the hard drive, but it looks fine to me. Is this drive toast now just because I used the wrong power adapter for a few seconds? If not, how can I make it a functional hard drive again? Thanks.

Good question. It's a Seagate Barracuda ST3000DM001.

Thanks for the link. I have never had to solder or measure anything with a multimeter before, so I just spent about $12 for those items on EBay from China. I'll have to come back to this project in about a month once I receive the items.
