I found out my case is actually a coolermaster elite 431 plus rather then an elite 430. The official website says the 431 + is compatible with a cpu cooler with a height of 192 cm.

My options are the cm hyper 212 evo or the noctua nh-u14s. Will these fit inside my case in a push pull configuration? Are there any other coolers?

My CPU is a amd fx 8350.

I don't know of any CPU cooling solutions that are even beyond the height of 175mm. With 192mm, you're safe with anything, as far as I know.

The EVO is widely known as the best bang-for-your-buck cooler. The world of CPU cooling has a sharp angle of diminishing returns, so even a modest increase in price means a huge (proportional) pay-out for modest gains. However, sometimes, you need your CPU to be that 5C cooler...

Even though it costs more, I vouche for the Noctua. It's a solid, quality piece that will allow you to handedly get a 4.4 ghz overclock, and probably to 4.7 ghz, although that depends on your lottery number.

But will the noctua fit in my case with an extra case fan? Money's not really an issue since I'm replacing my broken water cooler. And I've heard the hyper 212 evo isn't enough to keep the fx 8350 at 55C or lower when under load .
