Copy from the Window Forums. Sorry if it does not help.



  • Check if there are multiple versions of Office installed in the computer, if found uninstall them all.
    Click Start > Control Panel > Programs and Feature > Search for Office versions > If found Uninstall it.
    Now try installing the Office and check if it helps.
    If the issue persists, try installing the Office in clean boot mode. Clean boot eliminates third party software problems.

    Note: After the troubleshooting, restart the computer in normal mode.

if that does not work:



  • Check if the Windows installed service is started.
    Go to Start > Type ‘Services. MSC’ (Without quotes) > Press Enter > Search for Windows Installer > Select...

if that does not work:

    In addition try copying the contents of disc to a flashdrive on a different computer then try installing from the falsh drive on this computer and check if this helps.
