I am building a gaming PC with a $1200 I have more money than that to spend (not much about $110 more) but I want to keep it under $1200. Anyway I am trying to decide rather to get a AMD card or a NVidia card. I am eyeing the GTX 770 and the R9 280X. What card should I get? I want to run games like BF4 at 60fps 1080p ULTRA and be able to handle future games at hopefully the same rate. What should I do?

Since you don't care about PhysX, I would recommend you go with AMD. However if you plan on running other programs than games and normal computer applications....programs that would benefit from NVidia GPUs such as some rendering or video editing software, then I would recommend NVidia. I actually prefer NVidia myself, but can see AMD doing okay for most games, and for your budget, it is typically the way to go for most people. Also, double check what games you want to play and get good comparisons of the performance of GPUs for those games. Sometimes the fps performance for AMD and NVidia is pretty close, other times it can be quite different.

Admirable
You have to look at it this way: AMD is typically cheaper priced, take more wattage to run, runs a bit hotter. NVidia costs a bit more (quite a bit more) for a card that pushes similar fps, but then typically uses less watts and runs a bit cooler, while incorporating various patented tech such as PhysX. So you need to look up the specific features for the GPUs that you are considering, and compare the performance of them. I would suggest you look up the best manufacturers for the potential GPUs you would like and search through their list of GPUs in that product line which are in your budget.

For NVidia GPUs I always recommend EVGA, but for AMD, I don't really have a recommendation.

This is the build I am considering http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Bp6fnQ
Would you recommend a R9 280X or GTX 770. I have had both AMD and Nvidia cards. I see no difference like PhysX that really catches my eye and I am like wow AMD don't have that. So what would you go with, with my budget

Pick the AMD R9 280x. I'm maxing out all settings on Thief and on Sniper Elite 3. And i'm still running an R7. That should tell you the performance. Typically better drivers, always something new and innovative, and the cards sure do look cool! :-D
