So, we had a thunderstorrm a few days ago and my gpu was fried. The GPU was a Asus R9 280X which I had been using since Jan-Feb. I have contacted Asus for a replacement so this will be sort of a backup card.
My Pc Specs:
i7 4770K @ 4.5 Ghz
Gigabyte GA-Z87x-UD3H
Corsair TX 850M
Cooler Master Haf 912 Combat Edition
5 Fans(4x 120 mm and 1x 240 mm)
Corsair Vengeance 16 GB(2x8) Ram @ 2133 Mhz
My primary use is gaming.
So, I have a budget of around Rs 15K.
Use these websites- www.flipkart.com www.snapdeal.com www.infibeam.com www.amazon.in
I am from India if you want to know.

a second 280x is the way to go. anything else that came remotely close is going to cost somewhat close in price to where it would be worth it to buy a second and crossfire. if you crossfire 2 r9 270x it is about the same performance as a 290x so a 280x would be really something.

If you didn't wanna spend as much the r7 265 can be found for under 150 and can get the job done on lowered settings.

I also agree, spend a little extra and get a 280x so when yours gets back you can crossfire them.
