http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/lenovo/y-series/y40/?sb=:000001C9:00011F89:

Lenovo y50, on sale,
CPU: 4th Generation Intel Core i7-4510U Processor (2.00GHz 1600 MHz 4MB)
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 M275 4GB
RAM: 16gb ram
Storage: 512 gb ssd
Display: 14.0" FHD LED AntiGlare Backlight (1920x1080)

I feel this is a really good deal, and I've been looking to buy a laptop for the last few weeks. The sale makes this model $450 off making for $1150 down from $1600

So, What do you think?

Personally I feel pretty sold atm, I just want to get some opinions.

That is the better choice performance wise, but I read some people saying they only get 2-3 hours of battery life. The SLI gobbles up that charge.

This laptop will be used as school, so battery life is something I care about. Otherwise I'd definitely go with your rec. Also, I don't plan to do a bunch of gaming on it, just a touch.

All true, but what appeals to me about the y40, is size, and it has all that SSD. Basically I should have asked is this a good buy. I'll be in school, and I feel this will give me what I need for class, and games. Basically I was in love with the ASUS 303LN, and this is sort of a version of that, with more SSD, and a worse keyboard/trackpad.
