I'm looking to upgrade my dads comp on the cheap. It's an older computer, and I'm not sure if these two different brands of ram will work. He has 4gb in his comp at the moment (2x2gb dimms), and I want to add another 4gb (2x2gb dimms) for a total of 8gb of ram.

Here are his comp specs.

Solution
Can try it yes, will prob take some timing and voltage adjustments - in particular DRAM voltage up a bit (prob + 0.05/6 or so) and will need asome extra to the NB voltage (where your MC (memory controller is) - when you get them if any problems give me a shout ;)
