I go on task manager and all my apps are running on 32 bit. For example, "Google Chrome (32 bit)" on the processes section of task manager. I already looked up on control panel stuff and it says I have Windows 8.1 64 bit. Whys it like this? Im guessing the app bits and os bits are different but Im probably wrong.

This is because Google Chrome is a 32 bit application. If you have a 64 bit OS you can run both 32 bit and 64 bit applications.
