good day respectful members ..
good day every body ..

regarding the following specs .. i would gladly ask for help ..
the specs are as follows ..

9590
Asrock 990Fx Extreme
16gb ddr3 ram
3hdd
sapphire 280X Toxic Cross Fire
LQ thermal take extreme water 3.0
4X200 Led Fans .
1X140 Fan
2X120 Fans

no over clocking to any of the hardware .. even the gpu i donwgraded both to 1100 instead of 1150 cos it was running unstable ..

my concern is about the psu ..
will a Seasonic 850 m12 bronze PSU can Run this system safely and stable ?

its working now and it worked under heavy loads but better safe than sorry im ready to change it if i need to ..

thanks for your time and apologies for any bother caused ..

all the bes t.

Note : im not a fan of either intel nor amd and neither ati nor nvidia so please keep the comments regarding the topic and not about blaming me that i chose something against the preference of any other body ..

regards ..

Solution
1000W is plenty. 1150W is not needed because you don't plan to overclock. And even if you do, 1150W isn't enough for an OC of your CPU and/or any combination with your CrossFireX GPUs.

cpu: 225watts
gpu: 350watts x 2(most power hungry 280x on the market)
various other stuff: 100 watts(max)

total: 1025 watts(max)

try to get a high quality 1000 watt seasonic/corsair etc

i work in video editing and the 9590 really helps me in my work .. it do eats power but in rendering its one hell of a beast + i had the board + the processor for like 200$ and the 2 Gpus for like 400$ .. it was some sort of a complement from a client and the deal was undeniable ..

any way do you recommend the seasonic 1000 Platinum ? or the seasonic 1150 Gold ?

they are expensive i know but as i mentioned i would probably have like 25% cut from their price so they would match the other brands .. and so far the one im having the sea-sonic 850 was a great performer and he never let me down even when he is powering up now a watt mammoth system ..

with full respect to your choice sir but upgrading for me wasnt a choice .. right now im newly a dad and the plan of upgrading was never among my priorities but when i was offered this whole system for like 50% of its worth i couldnt say no + my work pc uses the same processor and it renders as a beast .. i love the 3960X but its almost 1000k ..

thanks again for your thougts ..

so going with any of those 2 psus would be a safe bet for me correct ?
if both are good to go i would lean towards the 1000 platinum since it will be like 50-60$ cheaper to me .. so if not definite need for the 1150 i would go with the platium ..

thank you all again so so so much for caring to help in this very little margin of time .. i do realy appreciate your efforts ..

all the best .

ive got the help .. but OMG .. if i tried to over clock i would need a PSU above 1150 ?? !! this is for real ?
do you suggest the instability of the cards and the system hands was due to power shortage >?

Your CPU is a power hog. Yeah, it'll spike pretty hard. Of course, it comes down to how much of an overclock you want to do. A small one may be fine. I am just saying that 150 extra watts is not much. Also, wattage is NOT the most important factor. The total ampere rating on the +12V rail is more important.

Yes. 850W was definitely insufficient to power both the FX-9590 AND R9 280X in CrossFireX. While I would not say it is hands down the ONLY cause, it is definitely a problem.

im not an overclock fan by any how and i dont have that relaxed mind of trial and error in addition that i think the cards are already factory over clocked to their max ability same for the processor but you know the one like to feel safe .. thank you again very very much .. really appreciate ... i will go with the 1000 platinum .. Best Regards ..

sorry for the confusion sir ..
the choice is between the seasonic 1000 platinum and the seasonic 1250 gold .. also there is the 1250 platinum by zalman ?
which do you suggest better for me ? the difference between the 1000 and the seasonic 1250 is like 40$ and between the 1000 and the zalman 1250 platinum is like 30$ ..

now im left with the 1250 the 1000 ones are sold out .. but im having a tiny problem .. my system is hooked into a voltage regulator with the capacity of 1000 watt ... how im gonna hook the pc to it now if the pc would require more wattage ?? is it safe to hook a pricey system directly to electricity ?
