No you cant put any mobo with any cpu.. Each one has a different socket type. They should be made for each other.

LGA boards - Intel - Intel goes in branded socket supported board, not AMD.

AM/FM boards - AMD - AMD goes in branded supported boards, not intel.

LGA 1155; 2nd/3rd gen intel CPU's, for that socket only and not a 3rd gen LGA 2011 CPU. (Pentinum, Celeron, Core, Xeon)

LGA 1150; 4th gen CPU's, 9 series boards for 5th gen CPU's, and not 4th gen LGA 2011 CPU's, for that socket only.(Pentinum, Celeron, Core, Xeon)

LGA 2011; - out of your price range but for the Quad/Hex core i7 and Xeon's *Not all Quad core and Xeons, must be an LGA 2011 CPU

AM3; Phenom, Athlon and Sempron

AM3+; FX and Opteron, and is capable of supporting AM3 CPU's, as AM3+ just has more pins then the standard.

I aren't going to list any more sockets as it isn't worthwhile, these are the sockets you want these days.

I definitely agree it is a way better card.. but is costs $230 which is more than double cosidering the hd7770... you could never consider card like r9 270x when you budget is only $500

This lol. That would leave pretty much no room for a decent CPU to run that card or a great motherboard.
