Dear all at THW,
I just brought a new custom PC (i7, Asus Maximus VI Hero chipset 87, 16GB, SSD 120GB, GTX760/2GB, legit W7Pro x64 OEM, have disk) from the retailer. In his offices, it worked fine on an old 15" CRT. Brought home, plugged to a 24" Dell LCD (but same result on HP 17" LCD), it does not go past Starting Windows screen when Logon screen is supposed to show. After many repair attempts (Win repair) I only managed to fix an even bigger issue as the Starting Windows screen did not manage to complete the 4-colour Windows logo and went to black screen (no cursor) just a second before it would normally complete and disappear. Now, it manages to complete it but no logon screen. The computer works, HDD LED blinks and when Power btn pushed twice it regularly shuts down (no picture though). Safe mode available, resolution 1920x1200 once there ok, device manager shows no problem. Any ideas before I resort to clean reinstall as the PC is absolutely new and there is virtually nothing to lose but time?
I went through many threads in different forums but these refer to specific cases and specific model problems, laptops where battery removal helped etc., many with cursor showing - which do not apply or tried with no success. Went through many other procedures to no avail.
Any idea or help appreciated.

Dear all, after some digging into various options I updated the NVidia video driver for the second time in Safe Mode with Network which seemed to be hit or could not get well with my LCDs and yes I got onto logon screen although the Starting Windows logo still ends sooner that usually to complete its "construction" Hope to give hope to somebody else stuck in the same way.
