Best gaming enthusiast mobo?

Which one is the best brand for mobo? Asus or MSI.I have budget around 500$ for the mobo.Right now I have chosen Asus rampage iv extreme.I am not going to overclock any of my pc components.Please shed some light here.

a waste of a price of motherboard since you aren't going to overclock, are you going for multiple graphics cards at least?

Then go for the Asus VII Ranger, it's like a Hero but since you don't plan to OC , it'll be fine, as long as you have a z97 chipset, or the msi gaming 5

Oh sorry I forgot to tell you the socket.My CPU uses LGA 2011 socket.It's I7 4930k

Asus Rampage Black, it and the Asus Deluxe are among the few new 2011 mobos designed with the IB-E CPU's like yours in mind

Please suggest a suitable motherboard for my intel build(LGA 2011).How is maximus edition? And which one is the best mobo in maximus edition?Remember I can pay up to 500$ so money is no the issue.

The Gigabyte X79-UP4 is one of the best for the price, and I realise that not everyone has a fancy for it.

Could you list up your specs and what you want to you want on this motherboard.

I prefer the R9 290X, but that is just me. Overall the GTX 780Ti is the better card but for the price difference it isn't even worth it over a GTX 780, as all you get is a few FPS better.

Colour scheme preference for motherboard or is that not a concern?

CPU i7 4790k now.
Color does matter.It should be in red.Preferably I love Asus Mobo.

Questions I'd like to ask, why i7? Are you planning to render or perform tasks that require hyper threading? Also, why dominator ram? You pay mainly for the aesthetics, you could just do with some g skill ripjaws or corsair vengeance,
