What do you think of this budget rig?

Hey guys.
So I currently have a low end gaming pc that I bought (used) off gumtree (like the UK Craigslist) and am looking to upgrade. I don't just want to buy a few upgraded parts because there's lots of problems with this current one (graphics card doesnt fit in the case, the cooling SUCKS, theres some problems with the motherboard etc.)
Since I only paid about £200 ($300) for it a couple of years back, I feel it would be best to just build one from scratch.
However, I'm a student so I don't have much spare cash. I also don't actually play games that much, so there's no point blowing a load of money on a gaming PC.
So anyway, this is what I've come up with:

as far as I can tell, all of those parts are compatible. I already have a keyboard, mouse, 1920x1080 monitor, and wired internet.
I know a 500W PSU is a bit low for a gaming pc, but apparently my rig only uses around 290W (very efficient graphics card) so I think it's more than enough for me. If you have a reason why I should buy a bigger one, then let me know.
Also, I know the HDD I've chosen has bad reviews, but I'm not actually buying it. My current PC has that hard drive, so I'm just going to transfer it. I've had it for a couple of years and have had no problems, and it has all my stuff saved on it, so I'd rather just keep it for now.

So anyway, to my question. Can you think of any upgrades I can make without having to increase my budget?

Thanks,
Stu.

I am sorry I had to update my parts list again , so this time I am pretty Sure that this mobo is great for overclocking and I am sorry for the extra 24 pounds that you have to spend on this improved build however I might tune it down a little bit leaving less for future upgrades , your call Here's the Final List : ( Overclocking friendly , Good Room for Future Upgrades )

thanks for the suggestion
Just one question about your build. I don't know a huge amount about computers so I don't know how important the cpu is for gaming, but is that cpu not a bit crap for gaming?

I have a 2TB external hard drive so I'll back up my files first, thanks.

I'll link with an article to read about this CPU to believe about it yourself , u might think its crap because of its number but in fact its one of the best entry-level CPUs out there . You'll overclock it hard , the question in this build isn't about the processor but much about the mobo and its overclocking ability which I am currently researching so u can read this article ( Skip to the Benchmarks if you want ) while I research the mobo's OC ability
