static ip in vmware rhel 6

I have RHEL 6 inside my VMWARE workstation installed in windows 7.My problem is when i configure static ip in RHEL am not able to access internet or my network.but in dhcp am able to access internet

HI, I dont know what RHEL 6 is, but I know what i've used vmware player in the past there was a nat option for the VM settings which allowed you to either share an ip (nat), have a local network to PC, or directly share the network card.

Check its set to directly share the network card. Also are you sure the static IP settings you are using are valid?
