WD ULTRA have low speed

i want to purchase WD ultra 1 TB but i heard from few of friends that it has lower transfer speed nearly 50 Mb/s for USB 3.0 and 15 MB/s for USB 2.0 normal files like movie files ?
is it true ?

Try WD Black, its almost as fast as an SSD.

Uh... no. It's not. WD Black drives (which are also internal, not external) are only barely faster than your average 7200RPM drive, and not worth the money.

tl-dr: Almost identical speeds. The Black has a 5 yr warranty vs 3 yrs for the Blue.

And that's before you bring in latency, IO/s, or any one of half a dozen other metrics. Only thing an HDD wins on is price.

It will be fine. Certainly no slower than any other USB connected drive.
