I have Lenovo laptop which has windows 8 pre installed and i was reading from somewhere that its license key is written to the bios and can be readed by some program. So my question is that if i get that licence key, can i install it to another pc? Because im planning to buy a new gaming pc so it would be great if i could use that so i dont have to buy windows so i can get better parts with that money.

Solution
No, you cannot use that license on a different PC. Even if you could, then you'd have a laptop with no OS.

If money is that tight, sell the laptop and use those funds for a new OS for the new desktop.

From the Windows Licensing FAQ here it says:

  • Q. Can my customers transfer or sell their OEM software licenses?

    A. After an OEM software license has been installed on a PC, the license may not be installed on or transferred to another PC. However, the entire PC may be transferred to another end user along with the software license rights. When transferring the PC to the new end user, the software media, manuals (if applicable), and Certificate of Authenticity label must be included. It is also advisable to include the original purchase invoice or receipt. The original end user cannot keep any copies of the software.
