I have a Kingston HyperX Fury Black (1x8)GB 1600MHz Stick.. which is single-channel.
But on CPU-Z, it shows DRAM Frequency is 577-578MHz..
Why is this happening? because I want to use the RAM to its full potential.. :D

Thanks in advance.

Solution

Glad you found your problem. It was most likely the overclocking.

It's normal, when having not too much to do will the cpu clock down to save energy. What's causing it is called "Cool'nQuiet.

In CPU-Z , it reads 577Mhz as DRAM Frequency..So, I multiplied 577 by 2 and I get 1154MHz.. which is not the speed it's supposed to be, which is 1600MHz.

No,that only gives dualchannel.

Go into the bios and set the speed to 800mhz (=>x2) if possible.Set the timings and voltage right too,
"DDR3-1600 CL10-10-10 @1.5V".

OK.. So I used the TurboV in AI Suite 2 with my Asus m5a99x evo, fx 6300 and cm 212 evo.
I just clicked the normal over clock and it oc'ed it to 3780Mhz.. So could this also be the case?

And in my uefi bios.. RAM Frequency is DDR3-1156.. And the options for changing the ram freq. is 1439, 1728, 2015, 2303 and 2592.
Should I change it?

I have got great news :'D
I just uninstalled ASUS AI Suite II.. which auto overclocked my FX 6300 to 3780 MHz which I expected must have changed the RAM Freq. .. So I uninstalled the the program and my system default settings were back :D
So current frequencies - CPU - 3500 MHz(I checked this in the BIOS) , DRAM - 807Mhz(checked with CPU-Z, which I think is the right value).

I know this next question is out of the topic.. but why is my CPU-Freq... changing from 1404.xx to 3500-3812.xx.
how do I make this a stable value.. or is this actually normal and doesn't affect anything?
Thanks. :'D

So there's nothing wrong. Glad to here that :D I think you were the one who helped me in the CPU cooler thread as well. So I'll just give you a rate :'D
